Bookish Diversion
Snitched from Miss Violet. Unfortunately I had to cheat and refer to a NON-fiction book, as most of my novels are confined to dusty boxes in storage.
1. Take first five novels from your bookshelf.
2. Book 1? first sentence:
History can be simply horrible.
3. Book 2? last sentence on page 50:
The insect swooped down upon her, and she shrieked, covering her head with her arms.
4. Book 3? second sentence on page 100:
It had been an odd sort of week for them before Saturday, as day-girls going back and forth to school each day.
5. Book 4? next to the last sentence on page 150:
The door slid open all the way, and they were inside Earl's Court.
6. Book 5? final sentence of the book:
But dreams are strange things, and none of us but the King of All Night's Dreaming can say if they are true or not, nor of what they are able to tell any of us about the times that are still to come.
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph.
