Things one awaits

The scarlet finale of autumn.
A lover's visit; sweet, despite its brevity.
Books. Packages in the post. Winter boots.
Contemplating kimonos.
Pine. Red berries. Frost.
Adventures in a new town.
The arrival of good friends.
Christmas.
Foxes of stone. The boom of the drum.
The first fall of snow.
Three-three-three. Together we drink.
Another beginning.
